About GQS New Energy Strategies

GQS lives and breathes the energy transition—and isn’t afraid to get into the weeds to help clients shape it. The firm’s principals bring unmatched experience from the highest levels of federal energy policy and market design: a former FERC Chairman, the agency’s former Chief of Staff, and its Transmission & Interconnection Lead. Together, they’ve helped drive reforms across U.S. power markets by building coalitions, shaping regulatory rules, and navigating the complex terrain of federal, regional, and state energy policymaking. GQS combines this regulatory firepower with commercial savvy and strategic judgment to help clients cut through complexity, identify leverage points, and advance practical solutions on some of the most pressing challenges in today’s energy system—from transmission access to market modernization to grid reliability. Many of the firm’s clients are accelerating the clean energy transition, and GQS is proud to help them make meaningful progress in a system that doesn’t always move quickly. GQS is looking for sharp, curious professionals who want to work alongside a collaborative and mission-driven team, dig deep into power market puzzles, and help shape the future of the grid.
